What was the event?
The event was a day for different Catholic schools in New South Wales to attend to The Olympic Sports Centre and listen to three different speakers talk about sexual relationships and the media putting visual images to the public that are influencing children to do the wrong thing.
Describe your role?
My role throughout the day was to usher everyone in the correct direction to their seating areas and other girls directed them to their assigned areas. To transport and guide the students to recess, lunch and leaving time efficiently and safely.
What were your duties?
Direct the students to their seating, direct them outside safely and to make sure they stayed in their own assigned school areas.
How many hours did you work?
I worked from 8am start to a 3pm finish, so a total of 7hours.
Describe what you learnt. Discuss any problems.
I learnt how to safely guide the students and teachers to their seats in a correct manner. There were no serious issues throughout the day.
Evaluate your employability skills.
Communication
I communicated clearly and concise throughout the day with all my peers, the other students and their teachers.
Teamwork
I believe that I worked well with all my team members, being in a group with people I work well with allowed me to work effectively throughout the day.
Responsibility
I feel that I was quite responsible through the day as I was approachable and helpful when people asked for any help or queries and I felt I fulfilled my duties to a high standard.
Customer service
This is a follow up on my responsibilities, I feel that all that was expected was shown through my actions and when it comes to customer service, I had shown initiative in all aspects needed through the day.
Overall description of the day
Overall the day ran very smoothly and well. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed every experience I came too be apart of. I loved the guest speakers and how every topic or issue they spoke about was related to an average everyday life of a teenager.
